Chapter 05
We stay beside you
Days change. Someone is still keeping track of what that means for tomorrow morning, so you don't have to.
Once you're there, the days find their own rhythm — appointments, rest, the ordinary logistics of being somewhere that isn't home. Most of it is quiet. Some of it changes without much warning, because that is simply how treatment schedules sometimes work.
When a time moves, or a day gets added, or something shifts you didn't expect, we're not the ones deciding what happens medically — that instruction always comes from Reprotec, and we don't interpret it, adjust it, or second-guess it. What we do is take that one piece of news and work out everything practical that follows from it: the car that needs to be earlier, the extra night, the person who was supposed to be somewhere else.
You should only have to hear the thing that actually changed. Working out what it means for the rest of the week is our part, not yours.
Every medical instruction — what happens, when, and why — comes from Reprotec. We only ever act on the practical consequences of it, never on the medicine itself.
What staying beside you looks like
Checking in — not about your treatment, but about how the days are going. Adjusting transport, accommodation, and the practical plan the moment something shifts. Being reachable in a way that doesn't require you to chase anyone down.
Quiet is the goal. If everything is working, you may barely notice we're there at all.
