Chapter 03

Preparing your journey

The week is built backwards from the appointment, not forwards from the flight. That is usually where the difficulty hides.

Most travel gets planned the other way around: pick your dates, book the flight, fit everything else in afterward. That works fine for a holiday. It works badly here, because the one date that actually matters — the appointment — is not yours to move.

So we start there instead. Once the clinic date is known, or even roughly known, the rest gets built around it: where you stay, how close it needs to be, how many nights make sense either side, and what a quiet day after a procedure actually requires — usually less than a hotel expects and more than a hotel provides.

If someone is travelling with you, we plan for two people, not one plus a guest. If you're travelling alone, we plan for that too, without needing you to explain why.

What we take care of

Accommodation chosen with the treatment days in mind, not just the calendar. Transfers that don't need re-explaining each time. Flexibility built in from the start, so a date that moves doesn't unravel the rest of the plan. Practical preferences — language, quiet, company — asked once, and remembered.

None of this needs deciding all at once. It gets built in the order it actually needs to happen.
